I Worked with StoryCorps to modernize their social presence

They are an established, respected brand that traditionally relies on audio/radio. Many of their segments run on NPR. Traditionally, they hire an animator to fully 2D animate their stories once they’ve been recorded. I provided less labor intensive options that worked with photo and video.


Bright and Modern

The color palette is bold and eye catching, meant to grab the attention of the most mindless scrollers. The colors are supposed to feel both cheerful and current, enticing people to share their own stories.

Social Friendly

These videos are all optimized for vertical, Instagram and TikTok—paying special attention to the title safe zones.

Easily Replicated

The frame rate is at 10 so that file sizes are small and jump cuts aren’t as noticeable. It’s important for StoryCorps to be able to replicate this look even after I am no longer working with them.

StroyCorps’ mission is to record the stories and daily lives of regular Americans.

This project’s ultimate goal, was to entice more young people to do that.
